Logbook

Day 1

You meet a member of the Sun Sea team with whom you meet your prestigious 43-foot Leopard Powercat motor catamaran.
At 5:00 pm, you embark on your cruise to discover the Grenadines! Start by celebrating the beginning of this new adventure by tasting your cocktail dinner basket composed by our prestigious partner. Creative products and recipes that honor local products and homemade drinks with Martinique flavors.
Then relax while your skipper sets sail for the Grenadines. A true invitation to travel and discover, the archipelago of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the most beautiful yachting destinations in the world. Located between St. Lucia and Grenada, it is composed of the main island of St. Vincent and a string of about thirty islets. The archipelago is famous for the richness of its underwater fauna and for its many islands still preserved.

Day 2

This morning, you wake up in the Grenadines, in Bequia!
Bequia, the northernmost and largest island of the Grenadines. Our first anchorage in the Grenadines is Admiralty Bay, located on the west coast of the island, near Port Elizabeth. It is the ideal starting point to discover the beautiful island of Bequia.
Take the opportunity to stroll through the streets of Port Elizabeth or climb Hamilton Battery, which offers a great view of the bay and its surroundings.
Don’t miss out a visit to Old Hegg Turtle Sanctuary: a unique place dedicated to the protection of turtles.
After lunch, head to Mustique and Britannia Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches with its superb coral reefs.
Nicknamed “the island of billionaires”, Mustique is very popular for its white sandy beaches lined up with palm trees and turquoise water. Combining both luxury and elegance, the island is a favorite of celebrities in winter.
You have the option of touring the island by cab or even taking a unique horseback ride on a deserted beach.

Day 3

This morning, you wake up in Mustique and enjoy again the exceptional setting of the billionaires’ island. Why not taking a boat tour of the island to discover all its natural richeness. Then head for Mayreau and Saltwhistle Bay, one of the most beautiful anchorages on the island. Mayreau is famous for the beauty of its corals but also for its bays and deserted beaches worthy of the most beautiful postcards. Don’t miss its small and friendly village and its picturesque church. The destination is considered as one of the most beautiful stopovers of the archipelago. For diving enthusiasts, the wreck of the Purini, a British Royal Navy warship that sank off the coast of Mayreau at the beginning of the 20th century, is a site that is worth a visit! This night, you sleep at the Bay of Salines and enjoy its enchanting surrounding.

Day 4

This morning, head for the Tobago Cays! Composed of five uninhabited reefs, they are one of the archipelago’s must-see stops. Diving enthusiasts will be delighted by the richness of the seabed. The shallow lagoon is protected by a large coral reef, which makes it the ideal place to swim with turtles, observe fish or simply swim. Outside the reef, you are able to admire spectacular seabeds with a great richness and diversity of underwater fauna and flora. Swim with the turtles at Baradal Islet, visit the viewpoint of Jamesby Island, dine on lobsters on the beach of Petit Rameau Island… Tonight, you spend the night in the Tobago Cays.

Day 5

After breakfast, you are immersed in the world of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” as you sail to Petit-Tabac Island, where a cult scene from the movie was shot. Then head for Palm Island, a small paradise island near Union Island and the island of Petit Saint Vincent, with its long white sand beaches. Then you sail to Union Island and more precisely to Chatham Bay. Accessible only by boat, the bay is magnificent and has a superb drop off encrusted with coral. You can also go ashore and explore Fort Hill which offers a superb panorama. The terrain of Union Island is often compared to Tahiti. At the end of the afternoon, you go to Happy Island for a sunset cocktail before going to sleep in this beautiful setting.

Day 6

After breakfast, head for Punaise and Morpion, two magnificent small islands perfect for a little swim. Then, you go to Petit Saint Vincent with its long white sand beaches. At the end of the afternoon, you reach Bequia for your last stop in the Grenadines before going to the island of Saint Vincent. You spend the night in Bequia.

Day 7

This morning, you wake up in the beautiful Friendship Bay in Bequia. You enjoy a last moment of swimming in this idyllic setting before raising the anchor to sail to Saint Vincent. St. Vincent is the main island of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines archipelago, composed of volcanic mountains whose highest point is the Soufriere volcano. The island is a bit neglected by tourists, although it has everything to please, starting with the kindness of its inhabitants and its rich cultural heritage. It is also endowed with a generous nature, with sea beds of a rare beauty, with white or black sand beaches and with a beautiful palette of mountainous and maritime landscapes. There is something for everyone on this last day of Sun Sea cruising in the Grenadines! Tonight, anchorage at Wallilabou Bay to immerse yourself in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Day 8

This morning, you enjoy a last moment of swimming in the tropical waterfall of Wallilabou Bay before raising the anchor to sail towards Martinique. From there, we head for the island of Saint Lucia, famous for its two Pitons, volcanic sugar loaves that dominate the bay of La Soufrière. Tonight, you sleep in the Soufrière Bay. With its incredible view of the two Pitons, this anchorage is a must do on the island.

Day 9

This morning, you wake up in the magnificent Soufriere Bay. You can take advantage of this anchorage to visit the village of La Soufrière, with its lively streets lined with old Creole houses or the famous Sulphur Springs. After a last swim in Marigot Bay, a cove looking like a postcard with its white sand, its coconut trees and its splendid sea bed. Enjoy a last moment of swimming in this idyllic setting before raising the anchor to sail to Martinique. You arrive in Martinique at the end of the day and enjoy an anchorage in Sainte Anne for your last night on board, offering a superb view of the Diamond Rock and the Pointe Marin.

Day 10

It is now 9:00 am, your cruise is coming to an end. It’s time to take all these wonderful memories with you and to meet up with one of the Sun Sea team members at the Marina du Marin.
