A New Way to Experience Martinique and Guadeloupe

They’re filled with charming fishing villages, historic towns, cultural capitals and rum distilleries: Martinique and Guadeloupe, that fascinating pair of French departments in the Eastern Caribbean.

And now there’s a new way to explore them: on the sea.

A new boutique luxury power catamaran company has debuted in the French West Indies: Sun Sea Antilles, which has launched with pair of luxe catamarans.

There is a three-cabin option with a master suite called Dreamea, along with a four-cabin yacht called Virginea, both designed by Simonis Voogd Design.

It’s an “avant-garde fleet at the dawn of the pleasure cruise revolution,” says Sun Sea’s Stacy Hate.

And the company offers a host of different “themed” options, with everything from a rum-focused sailing tour to a four-day jaunt across the spectacular Les Saintes archipelago of Guadeloupe.

There are both bareboat and skippered options, according to the company.

“It’s a cruise according to your rhythm and desires,” Hate tells Caribbean Journal.
