Logbook

Day 1

You meet a member of the Sun Sea team with whom you meet your prestigious 43-foot Leopard Powercat motor catamaran. At 5:00 pm, you embark for your first night on board. Tonight, you have two options: you can spend the night at the “Marina du Marin” or at the Pointe Borgnèse anchorage. Once moored, you can celebrate the beginning of this new adventure and enjoy your cocktail dinner basket composed by our prestigious partner. Creative products and recipes that honor local products and homemade drinks with Martinique flavors.

Day 2

This morning, head towards the Atlantic coast of Martinique, towards the Habitation Clément.
Discover this place of memory classified as a historical monument, during a guided tour. Discover the garden, a real open-air museum, permanently exhibiting works of art acquired by the Clément Foundation, as well as the restored 18th century house, a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of tropical living and to discover the traditional architecture and furniture of a large Creole house.
Then enjoy a unique Premium Old Rums Masterclass including a visit of the cellars with the cellar master, a private tasting and a food pairing in a privileged space with Claire-Marie K’Fée K’Nelle’s cooking.
This afternoon, the famous Josephine’s Bathtub awaits you for a moment of relaxation!
Tonight, you sleep at “Ilet Long”, a peaceful site perfect for relaxation and change of scenery.

Day 3

After breakfast, you meet Waël in her family farm in Le François, combining tradition and innovation. In a few hours, you go from the garden to the tasting. You start by visiting the gardens to discover the different growing techniques, the local biodiversity and the life of a farm. Then you choose and pick the products that will be working on in the kitchen, during the culinary workshop. Finally, you are able to taste your preparations in the middle of the farm. Waël accompanies you during all these steps and makes you benefit from her know-how for a unique experience.
Then, you discover the “Ilet la Grotte” and the “Ilet Chancel” where you are able to visit the remains of an old pottery, a colony of endemic iguana and a splendid mangrove.
Finally, you take the direction of the “Baie du Trésor” where the mangrove is home to all the species of mangroves of the island. An exceptional site with the possibility of swimming and hiking on the Caravelle’s Peninsula: a peninsula about ten kilometers long with superb panoramas on the Atlantic Ocean.
Tonight, you sleep at the Baie du Trésor and enjoy its peaceful and timeless atmosphere.

Day 4

Today, embark with your driver-guide for a morning of gourmet excursions! You have gourmet breaks in the Petit Galion district, taste dried bananas and cassava flour at the Saint-Jacques farm, discover the ruins of the “Anse Azérot” dwelling, enjoy the view of the Fond d’Or bay, and take a swim in the river at Basse-Pointe. Among the tastings served, the rambutan clafoutis or the calalou blinis filled with smoked marlin cream… Then head for “Le Prêcheur” aboard your catamaran! Dine in the middle of nature at the Habitation Céron’s gourmet restaurant. Taste dishes cooked from the harvests of the garden and enjoy the exceptional athmosphere of this place by walking in its garden to meet a hundred-year-old tree, the “Zamana”. You spend the night in the peaceful harbor of St-Pierre.

Day 5

Nicknamed the Little Paris, the Paris of the Islands or the Pearl of the West Indies, you wake up in the harbor of St-Pierre, city of art and history. When the weather is nice, you are able to admire the majestic Pelée Mountain. This morning, you visit this city full of history with a guide who make you discover the history of Saint Pierre and its main sites, without forgetting to emphasize the gastronomy! At noon, head to Le Carbet for lunch with your feet in the sand at the Petitbonum restaurant. Enjoy the warm and relaxed atmosphere! This afternoon, we take you to Fond Boucher, a superb cove accessible only by sea! A perfect spot to observe the underwater fauna with mask and snorkel. At sunset, we head to Case Pilote to spend the night. For dinner, a cooking and tasting workshop is planned on board! You learn how to cook fresh and local food in an original way, so that you can continue to enjoy the Martinique cuisine when you return.

Day 6

This morning, get onboard your fishing boat for a dynamic morning fishing, also called big game fishing. Discover this activity and learn the different fishing techniques practiced in Martinique as well as the numerous species of fish that you can find in its water.
Then, you head to “Anses d’Arlet”, more precisely, looking out for turtles at “Anse Noire” and “Anse Dufour”, wonderful small creeks with turquoise waters.
Then, direction “Grande Anse” where you spend the night, it’s a long and beautiful beach of golden sand, lined up with coconut trees, small houses and restaurants. It is one of the few beaches where you can see fish almost at the water’s edge, not to mention turtles just off the shore.
Tonight, the “Sushis Péyi” team come on board for a Sushi workshop with local flavors, you’ve completed all the steps to taste great fresh fish: from fishing to preparation and of course the best part: tasting!

Day 7

After breakfast, you head off to the village of “Anses d’Arlet”. A great opportunity to visit the unavoidable village and its church elected 2nd favorite village of the French in 2020. A few meters from the water’s edge, a rocky outcrop shelters a host of small multicolored fish. Ideal to dive into it with mask and snorkel. Then head towards “Anse Meunier”, a large beach of fine sand, not very frequented and lined up with lush vegetation. A real postcard! Enjoy a moment of relaxation by swimming in its turquoise waters. At the end of the afternoon, Thierry Lauzéa, is joining you on board for an exceptional moment: Rum and Chocolate Masterclass! This evening, our chef come on board to serve you an exceptional meal cooked with revisited local flavors. You spend your last evening on board in Sainte-Anne, one of the most popular anchorages in Martinique.

Day 8

It is now 9:00 am, your cruise is over. It’s time to take all these wonderful memories with you and meet up with a member of the Sun Sea team at the Marina du Marin.
